IMED Hospitals commissioned vBote to design and develop the information system for waiting times at the various clinics in the group's new hospital in Valencia. The private IMED Valencia hospital will open in early 2017 and has a surface area of 37,000 m2 dedicated to healthcare.
The system developed will provide information on the order of appointments for the more than 100 clinics spread over the 10 floors of the new hospital. The new software runs on Raspberry devices with the Raspbian operating system, which will control the monitors in the different waiting rooms.
The application developed integrates with IMED's ERP to receive and publish the messages and information generated by the ERP in a centralized manner. Communication between the Raspberry devices and the ERP system has been achieved using SOAP XML format commands.
Future enhancements to the system include integration with IMED's patient mobile app and with wearable devices using IoT (Internet of Things) technology.
